Leonora Carrington was a British-born-Mexican surrealist painter born in 1917 and had recently passed away in 2011.
This 160-page hardcover published by the Irish Museum Of Modern Art. It has a faux-leather cover and a die-cut cover with foil stamping. Inside, it features 138 of her artworks, and the text talks about her influences, and also has writings from her unpublished manuscripts.
Her artworks of surrealism mixes hybrid or mythical creatures that could only come out of some dark fairy tales. They are quite fascinating and captivating to look at.
Fans of Leonora Carrington should definitely check out this similarly titled book.
